Basic ATS - Initial training for air navigation service employees
The Air Traffic Services (ATS) employs many competent and diverse personnel categories that serve the air traffic industry and the air traffic control. Entry Point North delivers premier training courses to provide basic education for these groups.
The Basic ATS module is designed to give participants basic knowledge, skills and understanding to successfully complete their tasks within Air Traffic Services.
The course is suitable as a basic platform for a wide range of different professions within ANS, such as: AFTN operator, AIS officer, ATCO assistant ACC or TWR, FIC officer without radar, FIS officer with radar, Flight data operator FDA/FDO, and NOTAM office officer.
The course includes training in the following subjects: Meteorology, Aviation law, Air traffic management, Navigation, Equipment, Aircraft and Human factors.
Basic ATS is the compulsory foundation level that provides basic level of understanding and is intended to be followed by an optional rating module or further development training. For some categories On-the-Job Training might be sufficient.
