The Human Factors team conducts On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJTI) courses and refresher courses for Air Traffic Controllers and pilots. An important part of an Air Traffic Controller's work is to train new recruits on the job - an apprenticeship that can take months. They take on an essential role of mentor and coach and this course prepares them for that role. It will enhance their teaching and communication skills to make them not just better instructors but also better performing Air Traffic Controllers. OJTI courses are a combination of distance learning and on-site training, which can be conducted at Entry Point North or at the customer's own premises, depending on what the customer prefers.
